About the Author and Illustrator



THE AUTHOR

Jo Randall Bower is from Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, and now lives in Deville, LA .  (Her father was a minister and hospital Chaplain, and she married a minister.) Her many places of residence have nurtured her lifelong fascination with culture.

Jo's published career began with devotional material is various magazines such as The Upper Room,  Light from the Work, and Pathways to God.

She moved to  Deville, after being  employed at DaySpring Cards in Siloam Springs,AR.  She now is devoting full time to her writing and publishing.

She shares her life with her husband, Monty, a huge black cat named Azzie, his library, her piano, and two computers.

Her passion for writing is matched by a passion for improvisational sacred music.



THE ILLUSTRATOR

Lila Parker lives on a small farm in the Siloam Springs, Arkansas area and, with her husband, Chris, raise most of their own meat, eggs and produce.

 She gave up her job as a cake decorator in a well known bakery in Dallas, Tx and  put aside her college education to raise an unplanned for baby, Elijah. Since returning to Siloam Springs, she and Chris have had another son, Ethan.  Between holding babies, and pinching pennies, Lila finds time to work on her illustrations for the USS M. Curie Discoveries and decorate various goodies for friends and family.


The Tells of Cutezar is Lila's first serious attempt at illustrating. Until now, her art has been recreational with some training in high school. She aspires to formally study art and its techniques. Meanwhile, she is learning by doing,  The Twins of Zae is her second book with her illustrations included.
